Graduate School Overview
Xiamen University Graduate School is one of China's key universities, ranking in the top 24 in China (2023) and the top 2% in global university rankings (2024). It is a prestigious graduate school in China.
Xiamen University Graduate School, founded in Malaysia by Chen Jiageng (a native of Fujian, China), who became wealthy in the rubber industry and was a leader of overseas Chinese. It's the first overseas campus of a Chinese university, established in 2015.
While most universities in Malaysia, including branches of foreign universities such as Monash University and the University of Nottingham, adopt a British-style education curriculum, Xiamen University Graduate School in Malaysia offers a unique curriculum that combines British and Chinese styles.
In Chinese universities, there are many courses for international students, but it's often challenging to study alongside local Chinese students. Xiamen University Malaysia Campus provides a significant advantage in this regard by offering opportunities to study with local Chinese students.
All classes are conducted in English, but since many students are Chinese, Chinese Malaysians, or Southeast Asian Chinese speakers, having some knowledge of Chinese could be convenient for daily life.
It's an excellent environment for students who aim to acquire both English and Chinese language skills.

Xiamen University Graduate School Surroundings
The university was built by clearing the jungle to create a massive campus according to Chinese standards. Except for eateries for university students, there isn't much in the vicinity. However, the campus is lush with greenery, and the grounds and buildings are spacious, providing a leisurely resort-like atmosphere. It is quite far from the nearest station, but a school bus service is available.
