Graduate School Overview
Sunway University Graduate School is a prestigious graduate school in Malaysia that ranks in the top 3% of world university rankings (2024). As its operating body is a massive conglomerate representing Malaysia, it has strong connections with the real world.
In several master's programs in various faculties, you can obtain dual degrees, including a degree from Lancaster University, a top 1% world-ranking institution in the United Kingdom.
In 2012, Sunway University celebrated its 25th anniversary and, to provide an educational environment that better matches the needs of the times, a new classroom building was completed in 2016.
Currently, it is a liberal arts university, but a new campus is planned to be established within a few years, evolving into a comprehensive university offering programs in medicine and engineering. If realized, the new campus will be able to accommodate around 8,000 students, making it the largest private university in Malaysia.

Sunway University Graduate School Environment
Sunway University Graduate School is located within the town formed by the Sunway Group. In the area, you can find Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall with the AEON shopping center, Sunway Lagoon amusement park, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, Pyramid Tower Hotel, and more. Just in Sunway Town (Bandar Sunway) alone, you can have a comfortable life. All facilities are connected by dedicated walkways, and there are free shuttle buses to go around each facility.
From daily life to entertainment, it offers a very convenient and comfortable living environment.
Sunway University Graduate School is located in an area with many universities and graduate schools in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur. In the same area, you will find Monash University Graduate School, Taylor's University Graduate School, INTI International University Graduate School, etc. It is connected to Monash University by a dedicated walkway.

Located on the Sunway University campus, the residence is equipped with security measures that prevent anyone other than residents from entering, ensuring safety. There are no stoves in the kitchen to prevent fires, so cooking is not allowed.

Monash University Residence (Waterfront Residence)
Located on the Monash University campus, but it is also available to Sunway University students.
There is a dedicated pedestrian bridge connecting Sunway University to Monash University. Security guards are present at the entrances of each bridge, ensuring safe passage between the school and the residence, even late at night.
Since there are no washing machines in the rooms, you will need to use the coin laundry inside the residence.
For fire prevention, there are no stoves in the rooms, so cooking is not allowed. However, you can cook in the common kitchen within the residence.
Monash University Residence (Waterfront Residence)
- The pedestrian bridge connecting to Monash University Residence. Only school-related personnel can pass, so you can go to school even in the late hours without worry. You can even go without an umbrella in light rain.

Located within Sunway University's campus. The dormitory fees differ between window-side and inside rooms. Malaysia is a tropical country, but air conditioning is not available; only ceiling fans. If you cannot endure the heat, it is possible to move to another dormitory, but please note that there will be additional support fees for the process. For fire safety, there are no stoves in the kitchen, so you cannot cook.
