About Sunway University

Sunway University is a prestigious university in Malaysia, ranked in the top 3% of world universities (2021). As Sunway University's governing body is one of Malaysia's largest corporations, the university has strong ties with the real world, and its internship program features many opportunities for students to receive training at its resort hotels, global corporations, and major Malaysian companies.

The School of Business also offers a dual award program that allows students to simultaneously earn a degree from Lancaster University (UK), a prestigious university ranked in the top 1% of universities in the world.

The School of Hospitality, Tourism, and Culinary Arts also offers a dual award program in Culinary Arts and Hospitality (service-related) education that includes a degree from France's internationally renowned Le Cordon Bleu. There is also a Le Cordon Bleu diploma (associate degree) in Cuisine or Patisserie.

Sunway University celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2012, and new classrooms and other facilities were completed in 2016 to further enhance the university's ability to provide an educational environment that meets the needs of the times. Currently, Sunway University is a liberal arts university, but within a few years, a new campus will be opened, and the university will evolve into a comprehensive university with medical and engineering programs.

Sunway University Surrounding Environment

Sunway University is located in the town formed by the Sunway Group. In the area, there is the Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall with the Aeon shopping center, the Sunway Lagoon amusement park, the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa resort luxury hotel, and the Pyramid Tower Hotel. This Sunway Town (Bandar Sunway) alone is enough to make your life comfortable. Each facility is connected to each other by a private pedestrian bridge, and there is also a free shuttle bus that goes to each facility.

It is a very convenient and comfortable living environment from daily life to entertainment.

Sunway University is located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur in an area where many universities are concentrated. Monash University Malaysia, Taylor's University, and INTI International University & Colleges are located in the same area. It is connected to Monash University by a private pedestrian bridge.

The dormitory is located on the campus of Sunway University, but it is safe because it is fully secured and only resident students can enter the dormitory. There is no stove in the kitchen to prevent fires, so you cannot cook for yourself.

Monash University Residence(Sunway Monash Residence)

Sunway Monash Residence is located on the campus of Monash University, but is also available to Sunway University students.

Sunway University is connected to Monash University by a private pedestrian bridge. There are guards at the entrances to both Sunway and Monash University footbridges, so you can come and go between the university and the dormitory without worrying about late nights.

There are no washing machines in the unit, so you will have to use the coin-operated laundry in the dormitory.

There is no stove in the kitchen to prevent fires, so you cannot cook for yourself, but you can cook in the shared kitchen in the dormitory.

Sunway University Residence(Sun-U Apartments)

The Sun-U Apartments are located on the campus of Sunway University, and the fee of a four-person room varies depending on whether it is on the window side or the inside. Although Malaysia is an ever-summer country, there is no air conditioning, only ceiling fans. If you can't stand the heat, you can move to another dormitory, but please note that you will have to pay for the procedure again. To prevent fires, there is no stove in the kitchen, so you cannot cook for yourself.
