University of Wollongong General Information
School Overview
The University of Wollongong (UOW) is the first university in Malaysia to establish a branch as an overseas university by acquiring an existing Malaysian university.
The predecessor, KDU University, is one of Malaysia's largest education groups, alongside Sunway University and Taylor's University. However, it failed to raise the university's level and internationalize. Furthermore, as its founder grew older and gave up on solving the problems on its own, it began a new path by selling itself to the Australian University of Wollongong at the end of 2019.
While overseas university branches offer the same programs and degrees as the main campus, the University of Wollongong Malaysia campus cannot currently grant degrees from the Australian University of Wollongong due to these circumstances.
The University of Wollongong (UOW) is considering the implementation of double-degree programs that would allow students to obtain degrees from the Australian University of Wollongong as it progresses in becoming a global university.
Simultaneously, within the next five years, it aims to transition from the current University College to a full-fledged University.
It is also committed to recruiting international students and pursuing internationalization. It is a university with high expectations for how it will evolve in the future!

Surrounding Environment
The University of Wollongong (UOW) is located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur.
There are no nearby train stations within walking distance, but there is a small shopping mall next to the school. For small daily purchases, the shopping mall next to the school is convenient.

Dormitory
The dormitory is located on the university campus, allowing easy access to classroom buildings without leaving the premises.
Only the air conditioning cost is charged separately. You can operate the air conditioning by inserting a prepaid card into the designated terminal. You can recharge it using the dedicated terminal within the dormitory once the balance is depleted.
